Seems like it is time for you to post a Hijack This log file for us, so we can look for nasties hiding on your system. I've copied and slightly modified the following instructions from another post to save time typing ; they were originally posted by one of the administrators of this website thanks, Cookiegal!
First, download the latest version of HJTsetup. HJT will scan your system and then ask you to save the log. Most of what it finds will be harmless, or even required. Once you've posted your HJT log, we'll advise you on what to do next. If your system shows no problems, we'll take a shot at cleaning and rebuilding your Registry, to see if that will correct this. There are thousands of malware programs bouncing all over the 'net, so we'll take this by the numbers and try to rule out anything suspicious hiding somewhere on your system before we take a chainsaw to the Registry.

Well, I've checked your HJT log thoroughly, right after you posted it, again last night, and once more today, and I can't find anything harmful in it at all. I didn't want to overlook anything, which is why I checked it three times; now, I have no idea what could be causing this problem, so I'll be researching the MS Knowledge Base again.
I checked more than twenty articles the last time, but there might be one I've missed somehow, so I can only ask that you continue to be patient. Since you're no longer accessing the 'net with this system, is it part of a home network, or a stand-alone system, not connected to anything else at all?
